Please try to sign up for the level that best matches your child's swimming skills based on the descriptions below. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 208-272-1392. Know that this is not set in stone; if you show up and find your child is in a class that is too advanced or too easy, modifications can be made when the session starts.
3-5 Years Old
Minnow I: Not experienced in the water, does not like water in face, hesitant to move in water, clingy.
Minnow II: Not afraid of water, comfortable with face in water, unable to swim without touching the bottom.
6 Years and Older
Ray I: Not afraid of water, comfortable with face in water, unable to swim without touching the bottom.
Ray II: Can swim "doggie paddle" (able to move without touching the bottom while taking a breath), introduced to front and back crawl (freestyle and backstroke) but does not swim them without help.
Shark I: Can swim at least 15 yards of front and back crawl, ready to learn whip kick and strokes using it.
Shark II: Can swim at least 25 yards of front and back crawl, can do whip kick and has already been introduced to breast stroke and elementary backstroke, ready to learn butterfly.
Family Class
Any number of kids at any different level, $180 per week to reserve the 30 minute time slot.

Lessons will be held at 4177 N Pennfield Place, Boise Idaho 83713.
The spreadsheet on the Schedule page shows the sessions and times for classes offered at the Summer Swim Academy. We strongly recommend taking two sessions, consecutively if possible. We often see the most growth after the first week of introductory lessons. Evening sessions will not meet on Fridays, so they will only have 4 lessons instead of 5. Sessions will be subject to change based on demand and availability.
Payment
Payment
Each week-long session is $50. There are discounts for multiple children, with $45 for the second child and $40 for each child after that. Your spot is NOT reserved until payment has been made. Fees are payable via Venmo or make checks payable to Nancy Johnson and send them to 11397 W Rader Ct. , Boise Idaho 83713 (this is NOT the swim lesson location) or just give them to her at the first lesson.
